    Opening Maya Ceremony

A ceremony involving prayers, blessings, and rituals designed to honor the spiritual traditions of the Maya people. It is a sacred practice that connects participants to ancient wisdom, reverence for nature, and the cycles of life. This can include offerings to the elements—earth, water, fire, and air—and invoking blessings of health, prosperity, and harmony.

A Maya elder or ceremonial leader could guide the group through prayers and offerings of flowers, fruit, and incense to honor the Earth and ask for blessings. During the ceremony, participants can set their intentions for abundance in the coming year and reflect on the spiritual journey they are undertaking.

    Visit to Cenote

Immersing in the serene waters of a cenote is a magical experience. These natural sinkholes, sacred to ancient Maya are gateways to tranquility and rejuvenation. As you float in the crystal clear, mineral-rich waters, the cenote’s mystical ambience envelops you.

    Afternoon : Free Time

Read a book, journal, get to know each other or book a massage

  • Morning : Tree Planting Ceremony

Planting a tree together is a powerful symbol of growth, sustainability, and connection to the earth. It represents planting the seeds of abundance in the world, fostering a deeper connection to nature and the cycles of life.

    Temazcal Ceremony

Temazcal ceremony is an ancient Mesoamerican healing ritual that involves sitting in a sweat lodge to cleanse the body and mind. This ceremony can also involve intentions of healing and abundance, aligning the retreat theme with personal transformation.

    Late Afternoon:  Group Acupuncture

We complete our sacred journey together with another healing acupuncture session.

  • Morning: Yoga

    Afternoon: Beach Excursion

    Closing Circle/ Hug Ceremony

A Hug Ceremony is a beautiful and powerful ritual that promotes emotional healing, connection, and the nurturing of love and abundance within a group. The Hug Ceremony allows participants to experience the power of human touch and connection. Hugs are deeply healing—they help release oxytocin (the "bonding hormone"), reduce stress, and foster feelings of trust and safety. In this ceremony, the physical act of hugging is used as a means to express gratitude, love, and emotional healing. It can be particularly impactful in a group setting, as it creates a shared sense of unity and support.

Our Local Partner

Lunita was born from a vision to create a harmonious space that aligns with the rhythms of nature. As a retreat center in Riviera Maya, it was designed with deep respect for the environment and local traditions.

From asking permission to the land to building a house for the Aluxes, every step honored the cultural heritage of the region. Solar panels provide sustainable energy, water is sourced from an underground cenote, and the construction preserved every tree on the land. We also replanted 5,000 trees to support the local ecosystem and honor Pachamama, the nurturing spirit of Mother Earth.

Lunita is more than just a retreat. It is crafted with heart, soul, and a commitment to connecting deeply with nature and the traditions of this sacred land.
