Typically when patients come in with insomnia as a chief complain, it is already a chronic condition i.e. patient has been suffering with insomnia for years or it has been going on for more than 6 months.

Several combinations of acupuncture points will be utilised to help you relax, let go of fear, improve circulation and quiet your mind.
Over a series of sessions, you will notice that its easier for you to fall asleep and that your sleep is deeper and more rested. Please note that patients' results will vary and it is not common that some patients may experience an exarcebation of their condition while they are trying to heal their bodies.
How Can Nutrtion and Lifestyele Changes Help You
If you have a tough time falling asleep, we would evaluate your adrenal systems. Having a Type A personality and always on the go, sends our adrenaline on an overdrive. If your mind is 'always busy' and you cannot 'shut them down' or just lay down with 'eyes wide open', we will put you on herbs/ supplements to support your kidney/ adrenal system.
If you always wake up between 2am-5am regularly and have a tough time falling back to sleep or hungry and eating or drinking milk helps you sleep again, we will look at your blood sugar regulation/ handling abilities. Patients are encouraged to eat an avocado about 30 mins - 60 mins before going to sleep to help them stay a sleep.
We encourage patients to not drink alcohol, stimulants e.g. coffee or heavy, greasy foods to improve their sleep.
